For all of you that have enjoyed our funny boy, Henry-
we lost him last week.
We are heartbroken and so are Sophie and Bruce.
It's so hard to believe that he's gone.

We miss you, Ginger Man.
I hope you've been welcomed over the Rainbow Bridge
by Virgil and Izzy.
Go play, silly boy.

I'll leave you with the following 1981 video of Jimmy Stewart
reading a tribute poem about his dog, a Golden Retriever named Beau.

There was no greater love than between Henry and a tennis ball.

Hug your fur babies extra tight today and throw a ball for Henry,
the Ginger Ninja.

  1. Heartbreaker for me...too...I am so sorry friend...I hope he had a long good life..I know he did with you..what I mean is that I hope he died old and happy!

  2. i am so very sorry. they fill our hearts and take a piece of us when they go...

  3. I am so very sory for your loss. They are truly part of the family!

  4. I did not need to know Henry personally to be saddened by his passing. So sorry.
(I can't even click on Jimmy.)

  5. so very sorry about henry, tina. so heartbreaking, hugs to you:)

  6. I'm so sorry Tina, I know how difficult this is. I lost The Brat 5 years ago and it still hurts. Please take care.

  7. Oh, Tina, such a shame. I'm so sorry for your loss. We just lost our golden a few months ago, and even though we know it will come, it is so hard. He was a little beauty..Take care, Judy

  8. I'm sorry for your loss, Tina, but we all know what a good life he had. Jimmy Stewart's Ode to Beau is a tear jerker. sniff sniff

    Take care.

  9. I'm so sorry, Tina. I know you loved him.

And that letter from Jimmy is so touching. I remember watching when he read it live.

  10. Tina,
so, so sorry for your loss! They are our family and we love them. When they go, they leave an empty spot in our hearts that cannot be filled. He was blessed to live with you and I know he had a wonderful life.

  11. Oh Tina, I'm so sorry. I wish I could give you a hug.

  12. So very sorry for your loss...but so very happy you had such joy in ur life courtesy of Henry :)

  13. You know how I feel about this. It is the saddest. Hope you are doing okay.

  14. Tina, I'm crying. I've never met Jimmy or Bo.

I've never met Henry. I've never met Tina.

But I love you all. Hugs to you, my friend.

    Love, Andi

  15. Oh Tina, my first time here and you made me cry. That is the only problem with loving a pet - they go before us. As I write this I see my two sleeping on the couch, even though they just got up and think about what is to come. I wouldn't change a day with them but it will be hard to live without them.

  16. I don't know you, but I have seen you around blogland, and wanted to say that I am so very sorry for your loss. Prayers for a healing heart.

  17. Oh Tina, I am so very sorry. What a beautiful boy Henry was. They are family. Lots of hugs to you, my friend. Rest in Peace, sweet Henry. xoxo

  18. I am so sorry for your loss!!! I just came over from Suzan's to congratulate you on your win, and saw you lost your baby. It is a tough one, I know. Bless your heart, they are family. They give us so much joy. Prayers to you all. Hugs. Karen

  19. I could barely stand to look at the pics Tina - just heartbroken for you.
AND I had a post going up with Jimmy Stewart's " Beau " poem this week - made John watch it a couple of days ago - when I turned around he had tears running down his cheeks. How bizarre that we both ( you and I ) thought of that video at the same time? Connected - we are SO connected.
I've hit delete - Jimmy and Henry belong here...........
Big big hugs to you Tina.....

  20. I'm so sorry for your loss, I know how close we become to our fur babies.

  21. The loss of an animal companion is deeply felt - I am sending gentle thoughts of healing your way.

  22. I'm so sorry you've lost one of your babies. I have a Corgi boy named Ducky who looks just like Henry and I'd be lost without him. Sadly, I really do know how you must be feeling - we just lost our little cat a couple of weeks ago, her name was Ginger and one of her nicknames was Ginga Ninja just like Henry. I'll be heartbroken over her for a long while, as I'm sure you will be over your loss. I'm sure he had a great life with you and is frapping all over heaven!

Thanks for taking the time to leave me your thoughts. I appreciate each and every one!
